What Duolingo score do universities require?
Most accepting universities ask for 105-120; competitive programmes expect 120-130. Always check your target university's current DET policy - acceptance keeps expanding.
How does Duolingo compare to IELTS?
DET 120 is broadly comparable to IELTS 7.0, and DET 105-110 to IELTS 6.0-6.5. It is cheaper (USD 65), faster (48-hour results), and taken from home - but check your universities accept it.
Why was my Duolingo result uncertified?
Certification fails on rule violations: eyes leaving the screen, lips moving while reading, another person in the room, or software running. We rehearse the rules until compliant testing is automatic.
